Danielle Quinn is an Interior Designer and owner of the Thrift Shop, based at Tynemouth market selling upcycled, homemade home wares and found objects. Meeting over a coffee and discussing old furniture and a shared love for vintage I was given the opportunity to develop the look and feel of her new business.
Using inspiration from haberdashery, old postage stamps and envelopes the logo was created combining both sides of her business. One side, the Interior Design and Styling service and the other, ‘Thrift shop’ which is Tynemouth’s new ‘pop-up’ shop for interiors and styling, selling home-wares sourced, home-made and reclaimed.
Old postcards featuring Tynemouth were created to convey the styling of the products and the home of the two businesses along with bespoke postal stamps that added the subtle location of the ‘Thrift Shop’ stall – Tynemouth train station market.
Wooden stamps were sourced to print the logo onto brown tags and bags which were used at the stall, adding to the handmade feel of the whole brand and standing out from the other stalls at the market.
The website design is based around a scrapbook, bringing together the full brand identity focusing on lots of little details and full of ideas and items collected.
